Bath Classic Motorcycle Club meets on a regular basis at a variety of hostelries around the Bath area for a sociable chat, a glass of Vimto and a sandwich, while comparing the amount of dirt or not playing ‘spot the incorrect washer’ on our classic steeds. Once each Quarter at the Weston Ex Services Club, Brookfield Park. BA1 4DH we hold a committee meeting and we even record the minutes for posterity.   Details of our regular meets are below and our outings and events below that;

Ordinary Meetings

The club holds formal committee meetings quarterly on the 2nd Wednesday of February, May and August with the AGM on the 2nd Wednesday in November.

The committee meetings are held at Weston Ex-services Association. Brookfield Road, Bath BA1 4JQ

Apart from these meetings, we also meet each Wednesday evening at various locations/pubs and in the summer have a monthly evening ride out. However in the present Covid situation we tend to be a bit fluid with a decision on the pub only being made up to a week in advance.

If you are a club member it’s best to check with our Facebook page.

If you are not a member or not on Facebook, please either ring the club Secretary on 01225 769223 or email [email protected] for the nominated meeting place.

Events

Road Run – 1st Jan(TBC)- Imber Run

Date/start/lunch/finish to be confirmed.

A gentle morning ramble round a few tarmac roads and then a gentle ramble along some rough gravelly, muddy roads across the plain. I generally do this on my 1949 AJS 16m so not desperately bad terrain . We lunch at a pub somewhere and then in the afternoon I and most other sensible people head home while the rest of the bunch go and play on the plain and get totally plastered in mud etc

Road Run – 9th Oct (TBC) – Frozen Chicken Run

Date/start/lunch/finish to be confirmed.

A gentle run in support of the Air Ambulance; through the peaceful & quiet freezing autumn countryside, wending up and down ever narrower leaf lined muddy, dusty and potholed lanes. Gently brushing aside the frosted undergrowth, crossing the odd (frozen?) water feature and trying to avoid them not to mention the odd slimy deposits from local fauna (and tractors) you may even at times wonder what the hell possessed you to sign on!This is specifically aimed at the smaller and slower (?) machinery we maintain, with the idea being no more than 350cc unless side valve or particularly old machinery. As this is a charity run and we are only interested in raising money for the air ambo, we do of course welcome modern bikes too, whilst mentioning the route may not necessarily be suited to, umm, 'bypass' tyres or pristine machinery.
